Blackstone Adds Leaders in Private Wealth, Sponsors, Consultant Relations

Blackstone has made two promotions and a new recruitment to executive positions in private wealth solutions, sponsor coverage, and consultant relations.

Farhad Karim has been appointed global COO of private wealth solutions, elevated from his previous position as chairman and COO of Blackstone Europe, as well as general counsel of Blackstone Real Estate. In his new role, Karim will lead a team of nearly 300 professionals who partner with a global network of financial advisors, while also overseeing regional and product expansion in the firm’s private wealth business, which includes real estate, credit, private equity, and infrastructure.

Chris Sullivan has also been promoted as head of sponsor coverage, and Adam Lane joins Blackstone as head of consultant relations from Goldman Sachs. Both have combined experience of over 40 years in the financial services industry.

Earlier in the month, Dakota reported on Blackstone’s promotion of Chris James as global head of its tactical opportunities group, succeeding David Blitzer who will move to the role of chairman for the platform by year-end.
