Bison Holdings’ boutique wealth management unit Bison Wealth Management reported recruiting a Palm Beach, FL-based team that oversaw a book of more than $600M in assets under advisement at Key Private Bank.
The team is composed of Anthony Lourido, who was a senior vice president with Key, Janet Shamblin, who was a fiduciary strategist, and Ramona Waddell, who was a trust associate. The trio has nearly eight decades of combined experience, with Lourido at Key for nearly 20 years and before that 18 years combined at Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank. Prior to her time at Key, Shamblin spent nearly 20 years with Wells Fargo. Bison said it will open a physical office in Palm Beach at The Lost Tree Village Financial Center in January 2025.
The team was recruited by Bison partner Tom Scaturro, who joined the firm from Key Private Bank in late 2023 with the task of growing the firm through expansion and acquisition. In November, Bison recruited a $450M New York team from BNY Mellon Wealth Management. The firm is led by Teton Capital Partners founder Brad Ball and backed by East Asset Management, the family office of Buffalo Bills owners Terry and Kim Pegula.
