Barings, Kline Hill Back Guardian on Single-Asset Continuation Fund

Guardian Capital Partners announced the oversubscribed closing of its single-asset continuation fund with support from Kline Hill and Barings as co-lead investors, extending its portfolio investment in Havis.

Guardian first made a growth investment in Havis, a designer and manufacturer of “ruggedized” mobile workforce solutions for public safety and enterprise markets, in December 2020. With the continuation fund, Guardian is now able to offer liquidity to existing Havis shareholders while providing additional capital to back Havis’s add-on acquisition strategy.

William Blair acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Guardian and Havis as well as placement agent in the fundraise. Latham & Watkins LLP and Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP provided legal counsel to Guardian and Kline Hill/Barings, respectively.
