Baird Continues NoVa Push, Recruiting Again from Edelman

Baird has recruited another director and financial advisor to build out its Virginia network, according to a press release published October 10.

Robert M. Sargent is the firm’s most recent advisor recruit from Edelman Financial Engines, where he serviced $245M in client assets. Sargent brings nearly 20 years of experience encompassing roles with JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, and Fidelity Investments. He is accompanied by client assistant Kaitlyn Powell and will operate out ofBaird’s Fairfax, VA, office.

Baird has recruited four advisors from Edelman in quick succession, all adopting director roles in Baird’s Virginia offices. Sargent will be Baird’s second director in Fairfax after Darrell Reynard’s hiring in September, as reported by Dakota. On October 10, Dakota also reported on the additions of Robert S. Bowman and Matthew L. Preddy to Baird’s Richmond, VA, office.
