Ares Management announced the launch of an Australia-domiciled version of its Ares Private Markets Fund, providing wealthy investors “down under” with access to the US-registered private equity fund of funds vehicle.
APMF is a private equity solution anchored in secondary investments, acquiring private equity fund stakes from sponsors in North America and Europe. Since its launch in 2022, the fund has attracted approximately $1.9B in assets, Ares said.
The new fund is being launched to address increasing demand from wealthy investors in Australia and New Zealand for access to private markets solutions, the firm said, and it joins the Ares Global Credit Income Fund and Ares Diversified Credit Fund as private market strategies now available to investors in the region. Ares said those funds have attracted over AUD$1.5B ($956M) since launching in 2020.
