Fundraising is hard. Dakota makes it easier.
At Dakota, our mission is simple: make fundraising easier for investment sales teams. Dakota Marketplace is the only database built, used, and updated by fundraisers just like you — and we're constantly evolving it to help you spend less time researching and more time closing.
This March, we released five updates that give you faster access to portfolio data, deeper RIA intelligence, and a new way to get ahead of deal activity before it happens.
We've added a Portfolio Company related list directly to all applicable account pages in Dakota Marketplace. Any account with associated portfolio companies now surfaces them in one place, so you can see which companies connect to an account the moment you land on it — no searching separately or cross-referencing outside the platform.
Dakota Marketplace already captures key structured data points from Form ADV filings. Now you can access the full PDF of the latest filing and Part 2 Brochure directly from the platform. Use Command-F to search the document for whatever you need — TAMP coverage, fund administrator relationships, operational details — without ever leaving Dakota.
To see the full range of Form ADV features available in Dakota Marketplace, visit our Dakota RIAs page.

Building on the AI-generated CEO summaries launched in our December product update, we've extended that capability to Portfolio Managers. Each summary brings together key background, career history, education, and personal interests into a single view — so you can walk into any meeting prepared.
These summaries are live on RIA and Family Office accounts now, with all other account types coming shortly.
Forecasted Transactions is a new subtab under the Transactions tab that surfaces predicted deal activity based on historical patterns in our data. Instead of working backward from completed deals, you can identify companies likely to transact soon and get ahead of the outreach cycle.
For a live example of how Dakota surfaces companies approaching key transaction windows, see our daily Top 5 Companies Likely to Transact series.
Two new metrics are now live on RIA account pages: AUM per Client and HNW Client %. When prospecting into an RIA, knowing how the book is structured helps you qualify faster and tailor your approach from the first conversation. For more on building an effective RIA prospecting strategy, see Top Strategies to Successfully Raising Money from RIAs.
These fields also serve firms evaluating RIA acquisitions, giving buyers a clearer picture of book quality before the first call.
These updates were built in direct response to what fundraisers told us they needed most. And we're just getting started.
