We Rebuilt 50 Web Pages in 3 Days. Here’s What Happened.
I’ve been in business for nearly three decades. I’ve watched the internet go from dial-up to broadband, from static HTML pages to dynamic SaaS platforms, from SEO keyword stuffing to genuine content strategy. I’ve seen a lot of “game changers” come and go.
What happened at Dakota over the last three days wasn’t a game changer. It was something bigger than that.
We’ve known for a while that our website wasn’t doing us justice. The data was undeniable — Google Analytics was telling us our bounce rates were too high, meaning people were landing on our pages and leaving before we could tell them who we are, what we do, and why it matters. We had the story. We just weren’t telling it well enough, fast enough, or beautifully enough.
The traditional fix would have taken months. Hire an agency. Write briefs. Go through rounds of revisions. Wait. Pay. Wait some more.
Instead, we turned to Claude.
Here’s what the last three days actually looked like.
We sat down with Claude, Anthropic’s AI, and started feeding it everything: our audience profiles, our data, our value propositions, our brand voice. We told it who we serve (private equity deal teams, investment bankers, executive search firms, law firms, wealth management platforms) and what they need to hear. We gave it the numbers that matter: 258,955 LP accounts. 386,689 total contacts. 13,332 GP firms. 57,638 private funds. Twenty-six years of data built by fundraisers, for fundraisers.
And then Claude got to work.
Each page took approximately five minutes to produce. Five minutes. Not five days. Not five weeks. Five minutes, and what came back was stunning. Not just competent. Not just passable. Genuinely beautiful: dual-audience architecture, conversion-focused copy, color systems, visual hierarchy, messaging that actually resonated with the people we were trying to reach. Page after page after page.
Fifty pages in three days.
But here’s where the magic really happened.
Our Chief Marketing Officer, Catherine, recognized immediately that we had something special on our hands. While I was working with Claude on the content and design side, Catherine figured out how to build the back-end workflow that let us take everything Claude produced and post it to our website... quickly, cleanly, at scale.
That combination (AI-generated design and copy, paired with human ingenuity on the implementation side) is what turned a creative experiment into a genuine transformation. Claude handled the storytelling. Catherine handled the execution. And Dakota’s website went from a liability to an asset in seventy-two hours.
I want to be honest about what this experience taught me, because I think it matters for every business leader reading this.
Claude didn’t replace our thinking. It accelerated it. Every page still required us to know our audience, know our data, know our story. Claude was the force multiplier. It took what we knew and transformed it into something we couldn’t have produced at this quality, at this speed, on our own. That’s not a knock on our team — it’s a testament to what’s now possible when human expertise meets the right AI tools.
We’re a data and intelligence company. We believe, deeply, that the right information in the right hands changes outcomes. What we just experienced is proof that the same principle applies to AI: the right tool, in the right hands, with the right inputs, produces outcomes that would have been unimaginable three years ago.
Fifty pages. Three days. Five minutes each.
I’ve never seen anything like it. And we’re just getting started.
