Before V4.0, Marketplace Search inside Salesforce covered two things: accounts and contacts. Everything else, consultant reviews, pension board documents, private fund performance metrics, lived somewhere else. Your reps either left Salesforce to go find it, asked a research team to pull it, or didn't look at all because it wasn't worth the extra step.
Marketplace for Salesforce V4.0 closes that gap.
It adds eleven new search tabs directly inside Salesforce. One of them, All Documents, is a rename of the existing Manager Presentations tab rather than a new dataset, which leaves ten genuinely new datasets your team can now search without leaving your CRM.
In this article, we'll be discussing each of those ten datasets, what's actually in them, and why it's worth checking before your next call.
Fund-level records covering strategy, vintage, and size, the detail reps need when qualifying whether a manager or fund fits an allocator's mandate before they ever pick up the phone. Paired with Form ADV data on the manager itself, reps get a fuller picture before diligence even starts. As of August 2026, live Dakota Marketplace data shows more than 89,900 records in this dataset.
A feed of newly launched funds, so reps prospecting emerging managers or tracking a specific strategy's new activity see it show up in Salesforce instead of finding out secondhand. As of August 2026, Dakota Marketplace is tracking 14,137 fund launches.
Public pension board meeting minutes and materials, searchable and linked to the account record, giving reps a read on what a plan is actually discussing and prioritizing before a call. As of August 2026, there are 6,544 pension documents available in this dataset.
Fund overview and fund update presentations in one searchable tab, so reps can pull the latest materials on a strategy without digging through email attachments or a shared drive. As of August 2026, this dataset includes 2,015 presentations.
Manager research and reviews written by investment consultants, giving reps insight into how a consultant is evaluating a strategy before that view ever reaches the allocator. As of August 2026, this dataset includes 1,823 reviews.

Fund-level hedge fund performance metrics, including Net IRR, TVPI, and DPI, searchable directly in Salesforce instead of a separate performance database. This turns a call about "is this strategy performing" into a five-second lookup instead of a follow-up email to research.
The same performance metrics, Net IRR, TVPI, DPI, extended to private funds more broadly, not just hedge funds. Reps can benchmark a fund against its peer set without leaving the account record they're already working from.
V4.0 removes the old public-company functionality and replaces it with a Deal Profile section built specifically for private companies, covering the detail that matters for sourcing and diligence conversations rather than the public-market fields that didn't apply to most of these accounts anyway.
Education and career history surfaced as a searchable tab, so reps can find shared university or employer connections between their team and a cold contact before reaching out. A warm reference beats a cold email every time, and this tab is built to help reps find one.
A new tab built to surface earnings-related signals on covered companies, giving reps another data point to work into outreach timing without a separate research step. Dakota's release notes describe this as one of the eleven new tabs; we don't yet have a live record count to publish here, so treat this one as newly available rather than fully sized.
The point of adding these tabs to Salesforce isn't just more data. It's fewer places your team has to go to find it. Before V4.0, getting a full picture on a fund or an allocator meant piecing it together across Dakota Marketplace's web platform, a consultant's own reporting, and whatever a research team could dig up separately. Now most of that lives in the same CRM your reps already have open.
If your team hasn't explored these tabs yet, that's the fastest way to get more out of the integration you already have.
