Eight US public pensions have also disclosed pacing plans for 2026 representing $6.6B in aggregate target commitments, led by private credit at nearly $3B, followed by private equity at $2.45B and real assets (including infrastructure) at $1.1B. Real estate rounds out the private markets mix at $115M.

Three searches have since closed in mid-to-late April: Massachusetts Water Resources Authority Retirement System’s multi-strategy hedge fund mandate, Westfield Contributory’s $15M private equity co-investment RFP, and the Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust’s $75M global private equity search, which represents a first-time allocation to the asset class for the fund. The forward pipeline includes an anticipated global equity RFP from Alameda County Employees’ Retirement Association expected to launch this summer.
