LPs are settling into the back half of 2026 with sharper visibility into deployment priorities, with three US public pensions recently disclosing 2026 and 2027 pacing plans representing $4B in aggregate target commitments across private credit, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure.

On the search front, Dakota is tracking 14 open RFPs from US public pensions, representing at least $300M in disclosed mandates. Five searches that were announced in June have since closed: real estate searches from Boston Retirement System ($50M) and Cook County Annuity and Benefit Fund ($165.3M), domestic small cap equity searches from Norfolk County Retirement System ($40M) and Los Angeles Fire & Police Pension System ($250M), and the New Jersey Division of Investment’s private equity emerging manager search. Looking ahead, the New Hampshire Retirement System, Swedish Fund Selection Agency, Quincy Retirement System, and the Town of Plymouth Retirement System are weighing or preparing new public and private equity searches in the coming months.

Below, we break down these recently disclosed pacing plans informing capital deployment this year, alongside searches that are still active and those that are expected to come to market in the months ahead.
