For the month of August, Dakota tracked nine new searches totaling $260M across public pensions, with mandates spanning international and US equities, private equity, liquid alternatives, and US fixed income.

Notable among them were a series of private equity RFPs from the Chicago Policemen’s Annuity & Benefit Fund totaling $100M across buyout, growth, and venture mandates, a $60M SMID cap equity search from the Firefighters’ Retirement System of Louisiana, and a $55M core fixed income mandate from the Concord (MA) Retirement System. Other searches included a $30M MWDBE private equity mandate from the Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund, along with international equity, balanced portfolio, and alternative risk premia opportunities launched by Massachusetts and Illinois systems.
