Wells Fargo Hires New England Market Head from JPM

Wells Fargo has recruited former JPMorgan Managing Director Timothy Grumley to lead its New England team, following the recent departure of Brendan Krebs to PNC Investments, according to media reports.

In his new role, Grumley will oversee expansion and sales for the region. He will report directly to Northeast Division Manager Barry Simmons. Prior to joining Wells, Grumley was an executive director and investment manager at JPMorgan Chase Bank. He also served as consultant for Citizens Bank and New York Life. His recruitment comes as the bank shifts its focus eastward, with CEO Charlie Scharf and other key executives decamping from its historical San Francisco base for New York, as reported by The Wall Street Journal on December 3.

Krebs left Wells, where he headed advisor recruitment in the New England market, after nearly 10 years, moving to join PNC’s wealth advisory team in Boston at the end of November.
