Washington State Issues Global Equity and Emerging Market RFPs

The Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) issued separate RFPs for active global equity and active emerging market managers.

Neither search has a set deadline for submissions and will remain open until WSIB staff and the board determine otherwise, WSIB said in search-related materials posted to its website. For the active equities strategies, WSIB said that for both searches it prefers candidates with at least a three-year track record of managing $500M in the relevant strategy for pension funds, endowments, and foundations.

Per Dakota data, WSIB oversees $167B in assets. Current managers within the pension’s global equity portfolio include GQG and William Blair. Within emerging markets, current managers include BlackRock and LSV.
