Washington State Approves $300M Investment in GTCR PE Funds

The Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) has approved commitments to two private equity funds managed by GTCR, as disclosed in a November 21 investment advisory.

The pension formally awarded GTCR Strategic Growth Fund II and middle-market buyout GTCR Capital Solutions Fund with $200M and $100M commitments, respectively. Dakota earlier reported on WSIB moving to invest in the two funds, pending consideration by the board, on November 8.

WSIB has maintained an active and long-standing relationship with GTCR, beginning with mezzanine fund GTCR Capital Partners in 1999, and has since invested in subsequent funds launched by the private equity firm.
