The Teacher Retirement System (TRS) of Texas has committed $175M to KCO Fund Co-Invest and Frazier Healthcare Growth Buyout Fund XI.
In materials listing the pension’s recent commitments obtained by Dakota, Texas TRS reported allocating $100M to the co-investment fund managed by Kingswood Capital Management, marking the pension’s second investment with the manager this year after it allocated $70M to Kingswood Capital Opportunities Fund III in July. It also allocated $75M to Frazier’s lower-middle-market buyout fund in a new relationship with the healthcare-focused manager.
The deals were closed on November 5 for the KCO Co-Invest commitment and November 8 for the Frazier Fund XI commitment. The Texas pension manages total plan assets valued at $211.6B, per Dakota data.
