Texas TRS Commits $379M to Infrastructure, Private Equity

The Teachers Retirement System of Texas approved four commitments to private equity and real assets totaling $379 million.

In real assets, $150 million was allocated to Tallvine Middle Market Infrastructure Fund I, $4 million to Tallvine Emerald Management Holdings, and $150 million to Tython, L.P., managed by Macquarie Infrastructure Partners.

And in private equity, $75 million was allocated to Bregal Unternehmerkapital IV-A. 

As of August 31, the $187 billion pension fund allocates approximately 17.69% to private equity with a target allocation of 14%. And in real returns, approximately 6.86% is allocated with a target of 21%.
