SageView Buys $400M AUA DC Plan Consultant

SageView Advisory Group said it purchased Frederick, MD-based retirement fund advisory firm OnTrack 401(k) in a transaction that closed December 2.

OnTrack 401(k) advises on $400M in client assets, providing retirement plan consulting to more than 90 institutions. The deal gives Newport Beach, CA-based SageView its second location in Maryland and expands its East Coast presence. SageView operates more than 30 offices across 21 states in the US.

OnTrack founder and CEO Doug O'Rear joins SageView as a managing director of SageView, while team member Cindy Brown joins as a retirement plan consultant.
