The Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System is investing $50M in Hudson Bay Fund, according to the pension’s monthly report of investment activity for November.
The amount marks Sacramento’s first investment in a fund managed by Hudson Bay Capital Management. It is the pension’s most recent investment in a hedge fund this year after committing $50M to Junto Capital Partners LP and $60M to two Capula absolute return funds, as reported by Dakota on February 16 and November 19, respectively.
According to Dakota data, the California-based retirement system oversees a total of $13.3B in assets.
