The Chicago Teachers’ Pension Fund (CTPF) narrowed its search for a manager for its private credit opportunistic mandate down to four finalists, who presented at its October 17 board meeting, according to recently published meeting materials.
It is the latest development in the CTPF’s private credit search, which was approved in September 2023. In its October 4 meeting, the board heard from private credit direct lending finalists and will hear from finalists in its private credit specialty finance search on October 29.
The four finalists selected for the opportunistic mandate are Silver Point, CFI Partners, Silver Rock, and Sixth Street Partners. Callan is assisting with the search, for which an RFP was first issued in December 2023.
Per Dakota data, the CTPF oversees approximately $12.4B in assets.
