RayJay Secures $400M Southern Illinois Advisor for New HNW Practice

Raymond James said it has recruited Darren Wright as a corporate RIA-affiliated advisor to the newly formed First Mid Wealth Strategies, a unit of First Mid Bancshares, which will focus on high-net-worth clients.

Wright joins from CNB Bank & Trust, where he managed $400M in client assets. He brings more than 26 years of experience in the industry to the new position and will also serve as chief investment officer of First Mid Wealth Management Trust Services

He will be joined in establishing the new practice by advisor Josh Schuette, who moves from First Mid Bank Wealth Management. The pair will operate out of First Mid’s Edwardsville, IL, office, supported by client relationship consultant Eric Gibson.
