PPM America Lands Emerging Market Debt Team from Wamco

PPM America announced that it has recruited a veteran emerging market (EM) debt advisory team from Western Asset Management.

The EM debt team is composed of Mark Hughes, Kevin Ritter, Matthew Graves, and Kevin Zhang. Hughes and Ritter will serve as senior managing directors and co-heads. Graves will take on the role of managing director while Zhang will serve as vice president. The team has worked together in the investment industry for nearly a decade with Hughes, Ritter, and Graves collaborating since 2009.

Marty Boulanger, current managing director and credit analyst at PPM, will be joining the team, leveraging his 14 years of experience in sovereign debt management and emerging markets. The team will primarily operate out of the firm’s Los Angeles office and report to PPM deputy CIO Ogechi Nwachukwu.

PPM is a wholly-owned subsidiary of publicly-traded Jackson Financial Inc. PPM said this strategic talent investment aligns with Jackson’s commitment to expanding PPM's investment expertise and assets under management. As of September 30, PPM reportedly managed $76.6B in client assets.
