Concluding its search for a new high-yield manager, the board of the Town of Plymouth Retirement System has selected Artisan Partners, according to recently published minutes from its September 27 board meeting.
In the course of an ordinary seven-year review mandate that initiated the search for a high-yield manager, the board said it received 24 submitted proposals. The search was managed by Fiducient Advisors, which discussed Artisan and Beach Point as potential finalists with the board, along with the desire to move away from current manager Columbia Threadneedle due to changes made in their portfolio team. In the end, the board voted unanimously to approve Artisan as the new manager with a seven-year mandate.
According to Dakota data, the Plymouth pension has a market value of $258M.
