FUNDRAISING NEWS | December 16, 2024
The Oakland Police & Fire Retirement System (OPFRS) has issued an RFP seeking proposals from experienced international equity managers for a mandate of approximately $25M to $30M.
Proposals from both active and passive managers will be accepted, but respondents must send separate proposals if submitting for both mandates. Interested active managers are expected to outperform the MSCI ACWI ex US (Net), net of fees, while interested passive managers are expected to closely track risk and return characteristics of the preferred benchmark.
The pension will accept proposals until January 10, 2025, before 5 pm Pacific time. The completion of an eVestment Alliance (“eA”) eASE Database questionnaire is also required by December 30. Meketa is assisting OPFRS in the manager search and selection process.
