ND SIB Hires Two Sigma for Public Equity, Commits $75M

The North Dakota State Investment Board (SIB) approved a motion to select Two Sigma Active Extension U.S. All Cap Equity Fund to serve as a new public equity manager, according to recently published materials from its August 9 board meeting.

The SIB said it invested a total of $75M, with $43.8M allocated from its legacy fund, $27.7M from the pension pool, and $3.5M from the insurance pool. Two Sigma was onboarded on August 1. 

According to Dakota data, the pension has approximately $21B in managed assets.
