Moneta Hires New M&A Director to Bolster Expansion

Moneta Group has hired Peter Brown as senior managing director for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to support its “national growth plan” to scale up its M&A activity, according to a September 18 press release.

Brown, a former senior vice president at Wells Fargo Advisors, will work alongside Shawn Paulk, who was hired into the same position last year to grow the firm’s M&A activity. 

Moneta said it has closed one “major” deal a year in the last five years. Since 2020, the firm has opened new offices across five locations, the most recent in Boulder, CO, after the merger between Moneta and Juniper Wealth Advisors last March. 

According to Dakota data, Moneta manages assets valued at $37.4B.
