Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has appointed Hassan Abedi market executive for the West Los Angeles market, according to a post from Merrill division executive Brian Ludwick on LinkedIn.
Abedi will reportedly lead a team of 175 advisors and associates from the firm’s five offices across Southern California, according to Financial Advisor IQ. He moves to the new market from Merrill’s Orange County Inland Empire market, according to a separate post by Abedi on LinkedIn. He succeeds Kathleen DeLong, who moved to become the market executive for Central Florida.
Merrill appears to be doing some end-of-year shuffling of market executives. On December 11, Dakota reported that the firm appointed new market executives for its Baltimore and New York offices.
