Macquarie Asset Management said it is making an investment in fellow Australian firm IDA, an investment manager specializing in real estate private credit.
The investment will be deployed under Macquarie Real Estate Partners, which is the second fund in its flagship real estate opportunistic series. IDA focuses on private credit, high yield, and land syndication and community creation investment funds, and has provided more than AUD$5B (~$3.16B) in capital to over 100 projects.
The Macquarie fund secured $1.9B in capital commitments on its final close in July, and has backed global specialist businesses in the logistics, living, and new economy office sectors. To date, the Sydney-based firm manages approximately AUD$916.8B (~$579.27B) in aggregate AUM.
