Godspeed Capital Management announced the final close of its Godspeed Capital Fund III, hitting the fund’s hard cap with $675M of committed capital in less than two months of fundraising.
The Washington, DC-based firm, which focuses on lower-middle market defense and government services, solutions, and technology investments, said its oversubscribed Fund III received support from a varied group of new and existing institutional investors from all over the world. Like its predecessors, Fund III will seek opportunities in the defense and government sectors where it can create value through strategic initiatives, tech investments, operational improvements, and add-on acquisitions.
Since its inception in 2021, Godspeed said it has executed 33 investments and built eight platform businesses and, inclusive of Fund III, raised $1.1B. Lazard acted as exclusive placement agent, and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP served as legal adviser for the fund.
