EP Wealth Recruits New COO From SageView Advisory

EP Wealth Advisors announced the appointment of Jorge Bernal, most recently COO and head of wealth management at SageView Advisory Group, as its new COO.

With more than 30 years of industry experience, Bernal will lead the wealth advisory, marketing, investments, and wealth management services teams. Prior to joining EP Wealth, Bernal held leadership roles in firms such as Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Fidelity Investments, and Citi. He will operate in the firm’s Seattle office.

Torrance, CA-based EP Wealth has made seven acquisitions so far in 2024, most recently the addition earlier in November of RIAs in Maine and Texas with $240M in combined AUM. Bernal’s addition to the firm’s executive team is the latest since its appointment of Megan Glover as chief people officer in August. The firm operates 41 offices in 13 states, managing more than $28.9B in assets as of September 30.
