Washington, DC-based investor Enlightenment Capital crossed both the $750M hard cap and the $600M initial target in the closing of its fifth private equity fund, capturing $825M in aggregate capital commitments.
Enlightenment Capital Solutions Fund V drew support from a diverse investor base of both new and existing partnerships, and represents an increase of over 50% from its similarly oversubscribed predecessor Fund IV, which closed in June 2022 with $540M against an initial target size of $350M and hard cap of $500M. The fund series focuses on both control and strategic, non-control investments in middle-market companies across the aerospace, defense, government, and technology sectors.
To date, Enlightenment said it manages more than $2.3B in assets and invests in a portfolio of companies generating over $1.9B in collective revenue. Hogan Lovells served as legal advisor for the firm in the fundraiser.
