Van Lanschot Kempen announced on November 18 the launch of its third European private equity fund.
Through the Kempen European Private Equity Fund III, the Dutch asset manager is targeting private banking clients that wish to invest in small- and medium-size enterprises in Northwestern Europe. The new closed-end fund has a 10-year term and a cooperative structure.
VLK closed its second European private equity fund in 2022, generating capital commitments of €245M, in line with the maximum target size for Kempen European Private Equity Fund II. Kempen did not disclose the target fundraise size for Fund III, which it said would have a first subscription period running through March 7, 2025, which may be followed by a second subscription period.
