Denver Gilliand Goes Independent with DSG Capital Advisors

Denver Gilliand, the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of DSG Capital Advisors, brings three decades of experience to his clients, blending investment, estate planning, and financial management expertise. He established DSG Capital Advisors in Edina, Minnesota, following eight successful years at Hightower Advisors, where his firm became Hightower’s inaugural addition in Minneapolis.

Before founding DSG, Gilliand served as a Senior Vice President in the Private Banking and Investment Banking Division at Merrill Lynch for a decade, managing approximately $350 million in assets across 35 client accounts. Prior to his tenure at Merrill Lynch, he was a Managing Director at U.S. Trust Company of NY, where he handled tax compliance, financial and estate planning, and sales and marketing for U.S. Trust’s operations in the Upper Midwest.

DSG Capital Advisors provides a wide range of services, including investment management, retirement planning, tax planning, and estate administration for high-net-worth clients. The firm also offers a specialized aviation division tailored to commercial airline pilots. With a team of 11 staff members, including seven advisors, DSG Capital Advisors partners with LPL Financial, Charles Schwab, and Fidelity for custody services.
