Colorado F&P Hires Montrusco, Commits $105M to PE, PC Funds

The Colorado Fire & Police Pension Association has tapped Montrusco Bolton Investments to manage up to $175M in an active global equity portfolio and invested $105M in four private market funds in October, according to recently published materials from its December 12 board meeting.

Of the four funds, Colorado Fire & Police allocated to three private equity growth funds: $25M to Summit Partners Growth Equity Fund XII; $35M to Cynosure Partners III; and $20M to Periscope Equity III. The pension also committed $25M to opportunistic private credit fund Blue Torch Credit Opportunities IV. Per Dakota data, Colorado Fire & Police has made previous investments in predecessors of the Summit, Periscope, and Blue Torch funds.

Meanwhile, the Montrusco commitment follows the Denver-based pension's decision over the summer to terminate Select Equity Group's Crosby Street strategy and related $190M allocation within the global public equity portfolio.

The state pension oversees approximately $7B in aggregate assets, according to Dakota data.
