Cetera Financial announced that it is promoting Todd Mackay to serve as the new president of Cetera Wealth Management, effective January 1, 2025.
Mackay will be responsible for driving organic growth strategies for the firm’s channels and communities and oversee development of products and services available to the clients and advisors. Mackay, who joined Cetera in August as president of Cetera Solutions, succeeds Tim Taylor, who is retiring at the end of the year, and will continue to report to Cetera Holdings CEO Mike Durbin.
Cetera also announced that it has recruited Christian Mitchell from Northwestern Mutual to succeed Mackay as president of Cetera Solutions. Mitchell will oversee strategic growth initiatives to enhance digital products, platforms, and investment solutions.
Prior to joining Cetera, Mackay served as president of Avantax and held leadership roles at Blucora and TaxAct. Mitchell spent nearly 19 years with Northwestern Mutual, most recently serving as chief digital and information officer.
