Border to Coast Commits £48.5M to Cap Dynamics Clean Energy Fund

UK public pension fund Border to Coast has announced making a £48.5M (~$62.8M) commitment to a global private infrastructure fund through its “UK Opportunities” private markets program.

Border to Coast made the allocation to Capital Dynamics’ Clean Energy UK Fund, a renewable energy infrastructure fund targeting investments in onshore solar and wind farms and battery storage. Those investments include the construction of four wind farms in Scotland in the near term, with “further sites down the pipeline,” according to the pension.

The UK Opportunities portfolio launched in April 2024, seeking to direct long-term investment into housing, transport, energy, and growth finance.
