Institutional momentum continues with new research and allocations. A Northern Trust study of 180 asset owners found 86% maintain private market exposure, with an average 13% allocation. Top focuses include liquidity, cost, and risk control. OPERF and ACERA approved $200M real assets pacing plans and terminated Kennedy Capital. LACERA committed £120M ($150M) to Pollen Street Fund V for European financial services.
RIA & Wealth Channel News
RIA moves remained active as Bluespring Wealth named Graeme Lee head of strategic growth, and Morgan Stanley recruited Michael Briese’s $875M team from JPMorgan. Ballast Rock added Troy Davidson ($480M AUM) from Schwab, and Osaic brought on $450M NoxNumis in Kansas. Morgan Stanley also re-welcomed a $350M Las Vegas team from Ameriprise.
Private Fund News
Private fund activity remained strong. Bain Capital is launching Asia Fund VI ($7B+) and raising $2.1B for Special Situations Asia III. Blue Owl targets $6.5B for Net Lease Fund VII, and Crescent Capital closed a €3B European lending fund. Other updates include KSL Tactical Opportunities II ($1.44B), Glenwood PE ($701M), and new funds from Oddo BHF, Lock 8, and ImpactA Global.
