Curie.Bio said it raised $342.1M for its sophomore seed fund, Curie Bio Seed Fund II.
The fund, which made its first sale on January 17, secured commitments from 46 investors, according to a January 29 filing with the SEC. The fund's predecessor, Curie Bio Seed Fund I, targeted a $275M fundraise.
In June 2024, the biotechnology-focused venture capital firm announced the $380M close of its series A fund, bringing its total fundraising at the time to nearly $1B. The fund was used to support clinical trials of early-stage therapeutic companies.
Curie.Bio targets platform and asset-centric companies with programs that have blockbuster potential. So far, it has raised nearly $1B and built a portfolio of 20 early-stage therapeutics companies from different business areas and geographies.
