Ampersand Partners, a hybrid firm that began expanding its team nearly a year ago, has brought on a UBS Wealth Management USA group based in Chesterfield, Missouri. The group, led by David W. Simons and Thomas M. Cordes, managed $446 million in client assets and generated $4.5 million in annual revenue. They were ranked #21 on Forbes' best-in-state wealth management list.
At Ampersand, the team operates under the name One Private Wealth, with members including advisor Brandon Mallinckrodt and support staff Kathy Delmain, Carletta Casey, and Karen Antrobus. Previously, at UBS, they were known as the Simons and Cordes Wealth Management Group.
Simons has three decades of experience, beginning his career at Wells’ Prudential Securities predecessor and later working at Stifel Financial and Merrill Lynch before joining UBS in 2014. Cordes, with 25 years of experience, also worked at Stifel and Merrill before moving to UBS in 2013.
Ampersand Partners has focused on building its roster by hiring primarily from Edward Jones and Wells Fargo since bringing on its first team last year. The firm continues to grow its presence by attracting experienced wealth management teams from major financial institutions.
