Ameriprise said that Edina, MN-based advisor Steve Salmon has joined its independent channel from LPL, adding $110M of client assets and further expanding the firm’s foothold in the state.
Prior to his move to Ameriprise, Salmon worked for 23 years as a registered principal advisor at LPL operating as Salmon Wealth Management. His practice will be supported locally by Scott Neils, franchise field vice president for Ameriprise, and Regional Vice President Michael Lawson.
Ameriprise said it added 400 advisors in 2023 and has recruited nearly 1,700 over the past five years.
