Ameriprise Attracts $100M Washington (DC) Advisor from LPL

Washington DC-based Monumental Financial Planning, an independent practice under Ameriprise Financial, announced the recruitment of veteran former advisor Gary Presslaff from LPL Financial, where he managed $100M in client assets.

Monumental Financial joined Ameriprise in May with the goal of growing the practice, an aim the recruitment of Presslaff supports, Monumental Managing Director John Cortale said in a statement. Presslaff will focus on family finances and retirement strategies and is joined in the move by the firm’s three advisors and two support staff.

Before joining Monumental Financial and his time affiliated with LPL, Presslaff was an advisor for Cadaret Grant and Focus Securities.
