LPL has recruited the father-and-son team of William “Bill” Bruen, Jr. and Andrew Bruen to its broker-dealer network through Paradigm Partners, joining from UBS where they reportedly managed $1.3B in client assets.
The team will operate as Bruen Wealth Management and be based in Madison, NJ, according to Andrew’s LinkedIn account. Bill and Andrew are now the third and fourth generation hailing from the Bruen family of financial advisors in the Morristown, NJ, area.
According to his BrokerCheck record, Bill has 45 years of experience, spending 12 years at UBS as a part of The Rasweiler Bruen Group. He also worked for firms such as Morgan Stanley, Citi, and Lehman Brothers. Andrew, meanwhile, had been with UBS for 12 years. His LinkedIn profile stated that he will serve as CEO of Bruen Wealth.
Bill and Andrew were the second batch of New Jersey recruits for LPL this month, following the move of the $430M Morristown-based team of Larry Forleza and Carl Hanks, as reported by Dakota on January 1.
