Overview
Silvercrest is a $33B investment firm offering wealth management, OCIO, and asset management services. Silvercrest offers asset management services for internal clients and investors outside of Silvercrest, which include value-oriented equity strategies and municipal bond strategies. The wealth management group primarily services HNW/UHNW families, and allocate assets via a combination of the strategies offered internally as well as supplementing with outside managers. The institutional OCIO practice has grown more significantly in recent years and expectations are that will continue. The investment platform offers a "best ideas" select list, which includes 1-2 best of breed managers by asset class. Additionally, Silvercrest offers proprietary fund of funds/asset allocation models. For equities, given the internal strategies have a sub-style leaning towards value, they prefer to find external managers with a growth tilt.
They have some internal strategies, namely more value-oriented equity strategies and then fixed income on the municipal bond side. Elsewhere they're outsourcing to external managers. So think things that would complement those internal strategies, whether it's international emerging markets, growth equities, private equity, hedge funds. Rob Teeter leads that group and is supported by Elinor Ouyang on the research side.
