Overview

Michaud Captial Management is a $2 billion multi-family office. They work with about 10 families. They are located right outside of Denver. Their goal is to kind of grow with two to four families a year. So they are not trying to grow very quickly. All their portfolios are customized across each client. They take an endowment-type approach with active and passive managers and a handful of liquid and illiquid alternatives. Their investment committee is made up of three people, Joe Michaud who founded the firm, Yan Qin who handles due diligence across asset classes, and Alex Sirois who kind of goes in between traditional and alternatives. Joe Michaud leads up their alternative research. Their primarily custody at Fidelity. They do use a handful of others but the majority of their assets are custodied at Fidelity.
