Solaris Advisors became an affiliate of Klingenstein Fields Wealth Advisors (KFWA) in 2019 and the combined firm will oversee in excess of $4 billion in assets. Solaris moved into the Klingenstein Fields office at 125 Park Ave in NYC and maintained their entire investment team. KFWA is a multi-family office and they historically managed a core portfolio of stocks and bonds and diversified their exposure by using K2's fund of hedge funds. No change to the Solaris approach and asset allocation program. Over time, it is believed that the Solaris approach to managing assets and working with external managers will assume some of the KFWA assets. Solaris focuses on HNW, families and not-for-profit institutions and operates off an open architecture investment universe. Historically, Solaris has invested heavily in hedge funds and private equity. On the traditional side, Solaris favors boutiques and concentrated, fundamental strategies. Within fixed income, Solaris is tends to use larger firms, leaning on their breath and capability.
