The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. announced the sale of its Personal Financial Management (PFM) unit to Creative Planning in 2023. Creative Planning has a partnership with TD Ameritrade. They're massive and are substantial ETF users. However, on the alternative side (Real Estate, Private Equity, and unique income ideas) they also have big allocations. The real win at Creative are those unique alternative income portfolios in a private structure. Otherwise, they could be using your ETF. Creative Planning has purchased the Doman Group in New York City. In March 2023, the firm acquired Telarray Advisors based in Memphis TN with $1 B AUM. This marks the 7th acquisition for Creative with more than $1 B AUM. They have also brought on the Lockton Retirement Services team through a partnership where they now advise over $210B in assets.
