Seine Capital said it made a $70M first close on its debut secondary fund launched in April and is now ready to execute on small-cap secondary transactions.
The fund will seek to acquire secondary LP stakes in transactions ranging in size between $3M and $15M. It is targeting a fundraise of $150M, with a $200M hard cap, according to a report from Secondaries Investor.
Seine Capital is a secondaries-focused firm seeking LP stakes and portfolios across a broad range of deal structures and geographies, mainly focused on developed markets. According to its web site, the firm operates a staff of six out of offices in Paris, Switzerland and Luxembourg. Seine Capital is led by Managing Partner Fabrice Moyne, who before founding the firm was head of Mantra Investment Partners’ secondary program for over 11 years. Prior to that, he oversaw the private equity portfolio of the University of Minnesota Foundation Investment Advisors.
