J.P. Morgan Wealth Management has recruited a Washington, DC-based advisor managing $600M in client assets from AllianceBernstein’s private wealth management unit, according to a Sept. 16 report by Barron’s.
With more than two decades of advisory experience, Michael Lopes will join as a managing director and wealth partner, concentrating on investment and wealth planning for closely held businesses at JPMorgan’s wealth management unit.
Lopes had been with Bernstein Private Wealth Management since 2014 and is a graduate of the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia. He brings investment associate Braxton Ransaw with him to JPMorgan, where they will operate as The Lopes Group.
According to J.P. Morgan Wealth Management, it manages over $5.3T in client assets.
