Oakland Police & Fire Extends SGA International Equity Contract

The Oakland Police & Fire Retirement System (PFRS) has extended its contract with international equity manager Strategic Global Advisors (SGA) through September 30, 2025, following a recommendation from Meketa.

As disclosed in recently published materials from its October 25 board meeting, the original service contract was set to expire on September 30, 2024.

Per Dakota data, the Oakland PFRS oversees $470M in assets. As of August 31, the SGA-managed portfolio represents approximately $45.9M, or 9.8% of OPFRS’s total fund, and accounts for 72.4% of the total international equity allocation.
