Steven Meier was announced as Chief Investment Officer for the New York City Retirement System (NYCRS) and Deputy Comptroller for Asset Management.
Most recently, Meier served as a Board Trustee for Six Circles Trust.
Meier also previously served as Interim Chief Investment Officer for the State of Connecticut Office of the Treasurer.
Meier will oversee the New York City Employees Retirement System, Teachers Retirement System of the City of New York, NYC Police Pension Fund, the NYC Fire Pension Fund, and the NYC Board of Education Retirement System, the five funds that make up the $250 billion NYCRS, beginning August 1, 2022.
