Bison Combines Wealth, Advisory Businesses

Tags: RIA

Bison Holdings announced that it is merging its independently operating firms – Bison Wealth and Bison Advisors – into one company operating under the Bison Wealth name.

Prior to the merger, Bison Wealth focused on private wealth clients while Bison Advisors operated in the broader wealth advisory space. Founder Brad Ball said in a statement that the merger better positions Bison to continue its growth of advisors and independent wealth firms.

Bison Wealth CIO Justin Boller and Bison Advisors CEO Greg Wright will serve as co-CEOs of the merged firm. Senior managing director Tom Scaturro will shift to president of private wealth and business development lead Viktor Wilkerson becomes president of wealth advisory.

Managing $2.7B in client assets as of its January 2 Form ADV filing, the Atlanta-based firm has onboarded multiple teams starting last year, expanding its operations in Philadelphia, New York, and Florida. It most recently recruited a Palm Beach, FL, team with $600M in AUA from Key Private Bank to close 2024. Bison Wealth is a joint venture between Bison Holdings and East Asset Management, the family office of Terry and Kim Pegula.
